DISCOVER ANDALUSIA

Region located at the South of Spain. Andalusia is one of the autonomous communities of the country. It is made up of eight provinces: Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaen, Malaga and Seville.

With an area of 87.599Km2, Andalusia is one of the largest autonomous communities in Spain. It has a population of 8,409,657 inhabitants, being the first community of Spain in terms of population. Its density is similar to the Spanish average, with 96 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Its GDP is 155.213M.€, which places Andalusia as the 3rd economy of Spain by GDP volume. Regarding the GDP per capita, which is a good indicator of quality of life, in 2017 it was €18,470. Compared to €25,800 GDP per capita in Spain, this indicator places Andalusia in the 17th position with respect to the total of the autonomous communities. Therefore, it can be deduced that Andalusian inhabitants have a low standard of living compared to the average in Spain. Could art exhibition activity be a factor of transformation to increase richness, social progress and quality of life? How do Data Science, Semantic Web and other computational fields facilitate that endeavor? This is the research domain of Andalex Project.
